Calculate the CPM for Your Ad Campaign

CPM means cost per thousand impressions. Enter your total cost and number of impressions below to calculate the CPM for your campaign.

How to Calculate the CPM

The CPM formula is straightforward. If you already know your total spend and the number of impressions your ad received, you can calculate the CPM in seconds.

CPM = (Total Cost / Impressions) × 1,000

Step by Step

  1. Divide your total cost by the number of impressions.
  2. Multiply the result by 1,000 to get the cost per thousand impressions.

Example

You spend $500 on a display campaign and receive 100,000 impressions.

CPM = (500 / 100,000) × 1,000 = 0.005 × 1,000 = $5.00

Your campaign CPM is $5.00 — you paid $5 for every 1,000 impressions.
